Born and raised in Toronto, I’m the son of Guyanese immigrants and the grandson of a successful business owner. That entrepreneurial spirit runs deep in my family—and it’s shaped the way I approach every challenge.
While studying Economics and Finance at Toronto Metropolitan University, I learned how to break down markets, spot patterns in data, and think strategically under pressure. Those skills became the foundation for Sal Cleaners, a business I launched to provide reliable, quality cleaning while offering competitive pay to cleaners.
My time at Ford Motor Company of Canada taught me what real-world pressure looks like. I managed complex tasks, dealt with poor leadership, and learned firsthand how not to lead—which is why I’ve built my business around transparency, communication, and mutual respect.
In late 2023, after being laid off, I had two choices: wait for the next opportunity, or create one. I chose the latter. I leaned into my economics background to survive rising costs, restructured our pricing model based on real local data (like household income and mortgage default rates), and focused on profitable, scalable growth. That process led to the creation of my second venture: The Pricing Desk.
Through The Pricing Desk, I now help other service business owners—cleaners, landscapers, and beyond—price their services properly, stop undercharging, and earn what they’re worth. I don’t just consult—I’m in the trenches too, running and growing Sal Cleaners every day.
This isn’t my first time trying to build something. I’ve started multiple ventures over the years, including over a decade creating content on YouTube. Those earlier chapters taught me the value of resilience, humility, and iteration.
Today, Sal Cleaners is thriving—we’re booking jobs weekly, expanding our team, and building a reputation for reliability and results. I’m proud of how far we’ve come—and through The Pricing Desk, I’m just as passionate about helping others do the same.
